DAY 2:
while outside our hostel eating a spinach croissant from the polish bakery, a pigeon pooped on me. they say thats good luck? "they" may say that but that was totally conflicting with the actual events that were happening to me. that morning within a two hour span i had managed to singe my own bangs with youmans lighter ( i wouldnt have even known until youmans said it smelt like burning hair), hit my head on the tube, and recived the WRONG coffee at starbucks.
this was all cancelled out when we arrived at the wireless fest. fucking gorgeous day. free meal passes, free booze. our backstage was a doubledecker bus..completed with the cave singers, and pillows...it was awesome. it POURED rain from about 3 to 7..so there was a scare that the bella union stage acts would be cut....but we all sat on the double decker bus, looking out the window as the people in the park ran and screamed with JOY in the rain. it was by far my favorite part of the day...MAYBE. the rain stopped. and we all started a bit late with our sets. the show went well. i thought. but jayz made it for me that day. after playing, everyone went out to the main stage to see jayz....
it was a fucking blast..the weather was PERFECT, the sun was setting, and i couldnt stop smiling OR dancing his entire show. amazing. after that....we then got on the tube with thousands of drunkies to go home.

p.s. i saw emma watson backstage, harry potter fans.

DAY 1 in London was all about riding the tube. My plane landed at 10 am and i met drummer jeff ryan to take the tube to the hostel we were staying at (where cellist/manager, kris youmans had already been for a day...(kris got there the day before us)...jeff and i spent most of the morning and part of the afternoon riding the tube to dollis hill (a polish suburb in london) where no.8 hostel was..The No. 8 Hostel...a haunted house on the outside, and every summer camp cabin ive ever stayed in on the inside. bunk beds, community showers....the works...our room was completed with a young romanian boy that we called "ed". the hostel was pretty awesome. besides that fact that i enjoyed so much having bunk beds with jeff, youmans, and "ed" (seriously when will that ever happen again?) , every nationality was represented. showering with the french, being woken up by german, eating breakast at a polish bakery. it was amazing.
